Andres Schipani

A native of Buenos Aires, he was educated in London, Cardiff, and Oxford. He was also a fellow in business, economics, and financial journalism at Columbia University.

Andrés Rozental

He is President of his own consulting firm, Rozental & Asociados, advising multinational companies on their corporate strategies in Mexico and Latin America. He is also active in a number of NGOs and projects relating to global governance, migration policy, climate change, Latin American politics and the promotion of democracy. Board member of Canada´s Centre for International Governance Innovation and former Brookings non-resident senior fellow for nine years.

formerly known as Gaz Métropolitain Inc. Involved with a number of charitable organizations, he has a Master and Doctorate in physical chemistry from Université de Montréal.

R. Andreas Kraemer

He is also Initiator and Convenor of the Arctic Summer College. His research focuses on the role and functions of science-based policy institutes or "think tanks" in theory and the practice in different political systems, the interactions among policy domains and international relations, and global governance on environment, resources, climate and energy. Manager (pro bono) of the Konrad von Moltke Fund and active as Co-Chairman of the Advisory Boards of OekoWorld, which sets global investment criteria for ethical and 'green' investment funds or mutual trusts and Oekom Research.

Anabel González

She previously served as Minister of Trade of Costa Rica (2010-14), where she led the country’s strategy to join the OECD, negotiated several free trade agreements, and contributed to attract over 140 foreign direct investment projects. In her more than 15 years of service at the Ministry of Foreign Trade, she served as Ambassador and Chief Negotiator, Vice-minister, and Director General for Trade Negotiations.

Ana Santos Pinto

Previously, she was Research Fellow in the National Defense Institute (Portugal, 2013-18), worked as Research Consultant to the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (2008-10), Advisor for International Relations of the Ministry of National Defense of Portugal (2006-09) and Research Assistant at the Portuguese Institute of Strategic and International Studies, Lisbon (2001-03). She holds a Ph.D. on International Relations and develops her research on Identity in International Politics and Security issues, mainly regarding European Union, Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Ana Palacio

She has been Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of the World Bank Group and Secretary General of ICSID (2006-08), and she has been a member of the Executive Committee and Senior Vice-President for International Affairs of the French uranium company Areva (2008-09). From 1994 until 2002, she was a member of the European Parliament where she chaired Legal Affairs and Internal Market Committee as well as the Citizens Rights, Justice and Home Affairs Committee. She has a monthly column at Project Syndicateand is a visiting professor at the Edmund E.

Aminata TOURE

Previously, she worked for 20 years in the United Nations system, where she championed human rights and women’s rights. Toure has been involved in politics since her student years. In 2011, she left the UN to campaign for the then presidential candidate Macky Sall. Toure remains very active in promoting good governance and fighting impunity in Senegal and Africa in general. She was the head of the African Union Observation Mission for Mauritius general elections in 2014.

Alioune Sall

He has led missions in more than 20 countries to help governments and organizations launch prospective research and make it operational. He has written several academic papers and contributed to books, including Afrique 2025 : quels futurs possibles pour l’Afrique au Sud du Sahara ? La compétitivité future des économies africaines, Petit précis de remise à niveau sur l’histoire africaine and Africa Toward 2030 : challenges for development policy.

Alessandro Minuto-Rizzo

His mandate was mostly carried out in the strategic-political industrial area, in relations with sensitive countries in the Gulf and Southern Mediterranean. He is the author of “The Road to Kabul” (Il Mulino-Arel, 2009), “A Political Journey without Maps, Diversity and Future in the Greater Middle East” (Rubbettino 2013), and “NATO and the Middle East: The Making of a Partnership” (New Academia Publishing, 2018).
