23rd ICABR CONFERENCE: Regulation and Finance of Innovations for a Sustainable Economy

Dr. Karim El Aynaoui, President of Policy Center for the New South, will be speaking at the Plenary Panel on the "University-Policy Nexus," of the 23rd International Consortium on Applied Bioeconomy Research (ICABR) conference held this year under the theme, "Regulation and Finance of Innovations for a Sustainable Economy."

Dr. Karim El Aynaoui, President at the Policy Center for the New South will be speaking at the Think Tank 7 Summit (T7).

In partnership with the Policy Center for the New South, The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI)is organizing a presentation of the book "Empowering Africa" to analyse access to power in the African continent.

Policy Center for the New South, in collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), organize the launch of a Joint Policy Study “Climate Security in the Sahel and the Mediterranean: Local and Regional Responses”.  

Mr. Jalal Abdellatif, Senior Fellow at the Policy Center for the New South and Head of Governance and Human Security Cluster at the UNECA, will be speaking at the 2019 Africa Think Tank Summit taking place on April 24-26, 2019. Mr. Abdellatif will speak in the Working Session entitled “Sharing experiences on how to tackle implementation challenges at the regional level”. 

The third edition of the Addressing the New Landscape of Terrorism international conference series will situate the northern African perspective within the overall context of what we know about ISIS extremism and practical approaches in Australia, Europe and Southeast Asia to diminishing its impact globally. The perspectives of 40 practitioners, policy-makers, academics and civil society actors will be brought together on international approaches to preventing and minimising the risk of radicalisation and countering violent extremism, particularly amongst young people.

2019 Europe Think Tank Summit

Our Lead international Relations Specialist, Mehdi Benomar, will take part in the panel on Migration and the Global Refugee Crisis at the 2019 Europe Think Tank Summit in Madrid on April 10-12, 2019. The regional crisis has now taken on global dimensions and is likely to intensify if the predicted global economic slowdown materializes in 2019. Discussions at the panel will revolve around this latter thematic.
