Context

The 4x4 Directors Forum is an annual meeting organized by the Policy Center for the New South and the French Institute of International Relations (Ifri) that gathers the directors of four European in four African Think Tanks to discuss current challenges that both continents are facing. The purpose is to identify common positions and asymmetries and address possible areas of cooperation in order to build solid bridges between the African and European continent.

La conférence internationale ShieldAfrica parrainée par le Ministre de la Défense de la Côte d’Ivoire aura comme thème : « Des frontières terrestres, maritimes et aériennes, vivantes et régulées, condition du développement de l’Afrique ». Elle précèdera le « Salon International de la Sécurité et de la Défense », du même nom, parrainé par le Ministre ivoirien de l’intérieur et de la sécurité et qui se tiendra dans les trois jours qui suivent, dans l’enceinte de l’Ecole de police.

Ihssane Guennoun, International Relations Specialist, and El Mostafa Rezrazi, Senior Fellow at Policy Center for the New South, are participating at the seminar on “Partnering on African Development Studies,” at the Center for African Studies. 

Marrakesh, Morocco

Since its inception in 2012, the Atlantic Dialogues (AD) conference has become a well-established annual meeting point taking place in Marrakesh, bringing together around 350 high-level senior officials, business leaders, academics, opinion shapers and civil society actors. Morocco has been host to these gatherings given its location and close relations to all countries bordering the Atlantic. Initially created in a dual effort between the Policy Center for the New South, formerly OCP Policy Center, and the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the event encourages a lively and informal exchange of views between young professionals and today’s leaders.
