Sandra Polónia Rios

Sandra Polónia Rios is a director at CINDES (Centro de Estudos de Integração e Desenvolvimento) and partner at Ecostrat Consultores. Eduardo Augusto Guimarães

Eduardo Augusto Guimarães is a civil engineer, economist and holds a PhD in Economics, awarded by the University of London (1980). Eduardo was a researcher at IPEA (Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada), economist at FINEP (Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos), director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), research director, head-director and Chairman of the IBGE, National Treasury Secretary, President of BANESPA and President of the Bank of Brazil. Throughout his career he was a member of the boards of several public and private companies and member of the audit committees of companies that belonged in the financial sector. Eduardo Augusto Guimarães was professor in the Department of Economics, Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ), Department of Economics at UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense) and professor at UFRJ Economics. Held consulting activities with international organizations: Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Development Centre; United Nations University, World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU / WIDER); World Bank; Economic Commission for Latin America; United Nations Development Programme - UNDP; Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He now continues to perform consulting activities to the National Confederation of Industry of Brazil (CNI), FUNCEX, National Land Transport Agency (ANTT), the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the business associations and private companies.
