She managed the Niger Delta Partnership Initiative (NDPI) Foundation (2013-18), a $90 million corporate social enterprise by Chevron that applies a market-based approach to development, and was a Program manager on Africa at Vital Voices Global Partnership in Washington. Previously Mafe worked at the Women’s World Banking Ghana in Accra and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York City. Named one of OkayAfrica 100 Women in Africa in 2018, she is the Nigeria Ambassador for the Women in Africa Initiative and serves in the Technical Sub-Committee for the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, and has served on various non-profit boards. She holds a M.A. from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. and a B.A from Spelman College (Phi Beta Kappa).
