Africa is a diverse, dynamic and growing continent, making noticeable progress in many areas including democratic rule, economic growth and conflict resolution, but simultaneously facing formidable challenges to its development and sustainability. 

Mohammed Loulichki is the main speaker of Session 2 on “The changing global order and Africa’s place in it." This session is taking place in the context of a think tank workshop, “At the table or on the menu ? Africa’s role in a changing global order.”

The requirements of sustainable development by 2030 represent a key goal to be achieved for Arab countries, who must utilize their potential and capabilities to adapt to the requirements of globalization.

Med Dialogues

Karim El Aynaoui is chair of the plenary session “‘Shared Prosperity’ The Imperative of Growth: The Role of Investments.” During this session, the role of investment in achieving growth in developing economies will be highlighted. There will be a particular emphasis on the link between social impact, accountability and investment. 

MED Dialogues

During the MED Dialogues, the session “Special Dialogue” took place between Taro Kono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan in conversation with Karim El Aynaoui, Managing Director of OCP Policy Center, and Matthew Karnitschnig, Politico Europe.

The role of japan in the Mediterranean as a direct investor was addressed. Furthermore, the model of development of Japan and its recent decision to open its border to immigrants was an important topic during the discussions.

Through volunteering experiences, OCP Policy Center strives to offer highly motivated students and young professionals the opportunity of a direct immersion in major conferences organized with the Think Tank’s various international partners in Morocco. The volunteers are an integral part of the success of our events and get first-hand experience of high-level event organization on an operational level.
