He worked at Actis Capital LLP as Managing Partner for the Africa Business and served on the boards of a number of companies in the cement, sugar, finance, tourism, mining, airline and food sectors. He was one of the Founding Trustees of the Investment Climate Facility (ICF) and sits on the Board of the Africa Leadership Institute. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Imperial College, University of London and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, UK, an Eisenhower fellow.
