She was also a part of the group in TERI which gave inputs to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for the Rio+20 summit.She also served as a Consultant in the Transport Division of the Planning Commission from 2009 to 2010. Her work in the Planning Commission entailed evaluation of project reports for consideration of Public Investment Board, Expenditure Finance Committee/Standing Finance Committee and proposals from Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Ministry of Rural Development for clearance of the Planning Commission. She did detailed work related to the roads sector and assisted in the coordination of work relating to various committees set up for the development of the transport sector.She has recently submitted her PhD thesis to the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University. Her research explores the nature and impact of Chinese trade, investment, and development cooperation in three sub-Saharan African countries namely Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia. She is particularly interested in understanding the impact of emerging countries such as India, China and Brazil on Africa's development process.
