His foreign operational deployments include Commanding Officer of Ghana Battalions for UNIFIL in South Lebanon and MONUC in DRC ; Military Observer with UN Iraq Kuwait Observer Mission (UNIKOM) and Chief J2, UN/AU Mission in Darfur, Sudan (2009-10). He was commissioned into the Engineer Corps of the Ghana Army in August 1985 and has been trained in Ghana, Nigeria and the USA (Fort Leavenworth), and is a graduate of the South African National Defence College (2012).
