In her career, she has led integration and advocacy for the United Nations in Angola; managed programs for WINGS, a membership organization that promotes philanthropy infrastructure; and implemented a Fellowship program for Yunus&Youth, a social business supported by Muhammad Yunus, connecting young social entrepreneurs with mentors from the corporate sector.

Isabela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism (Brazil) and a Master’s degree in Communications and Development (Spain). Through her experiences, she has developed strong multi-sector program management and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as a keen passion for social innovation and social justice. She currently lives between Rio de Janeiro and Washington-DC.

 

Aleksandra Chmielewska

Project Manager, European Institute of the Mediterranean, Poland

Aleksandra Chmielewska is a Project Manager for International Cooperation and Development at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed). She also co-coordinates EuroMeSCo – the main network of think tanks on politics and security in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Aleksandra joined the IEMed as a fellowship holder. Prior to that she worked at the Permanent Representation of Poland to Council of Europe and at the Polish Ministry of Regional Development. She has been lecturing at Autonomous University of Barcelona, IBEI (Barcelona Institute of International Studies) and Blanquerna – Ramon Llull University.

She is committed to supporting and advancing civil society actors, with a focus on women and youth, to promote greater diversity and inclusiveness in policy making processes. Aleksandra holds a double MA degree in Political Science from Sciences Po Strasbourg and Jagiellonian University, Cracow.

As a youth ambassador, he consults with several international youth bodies globally to aid different countries to progress their development agenda. Jerome also runs his social enterprise on the grass root level to keep a connection with what the youth on the ground are facing. He has been recognized by The Mandela Family, former President Barack Obama and Her Majesty the Queen of England for his work.

Ruben Barnabas Djogbenou

Ruben Barnabas Djogbenou is currently a consultant for the African Futures Institute and the Bureau of the Special Adviser of the Prime Minister of Senegal. Prior to that he served as Consultant and Project Manager in a consulting firm, where he was in charge of conducting research projects in long term development and strategic planning.

He is also a researcher and a guest lecturer at the Graduate School of Statistics and Applied Economics of Dakar. Ruben is both statistician and economist by training. This dual combination which he has been determined to enhance through his working experience has imparted him with important skills. Those span quantitative and qualitative research methods, strategic planning, public policies, leadership, development economics, foresight analysis, monetary policy, etc.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in projects related to macro-econometric modeling, country strategic planning, and sectors’ competitiveness-plans. He also contributed to the implementation of “delivery units” for the coordination of countries’ strategic plans, the design of monitoring & evaluation systems, operational and budgetary planning, public policies impact evaluation, financial planning for development programs and projects. A part from that Ruben has been active in enhancing statistical literacy in Côte d’Ivoire as the country coordinator of the International Statistical Literacy Program for Côte d’Ivoire.

Tosin has more than 15 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining FilmoRealty, Tosin served as the Director of GreenHouse Lab where she led the establishment of the first female-focused tech accelerator program in Nigeria and the only "Powered by Google" accelerator program in Africa. Prior to this, Tosin worked as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Framework – an edutech company focused on affordable housing and based in Boston, USA.   She also served for 8 years as a Manager at NeighborWorks America – an NGO founded by the United States Congress and focused on affordable housing and community development. In this role, she managed programs and special projects for 250 NeighborWorks’ network organizations and grants totaling over $10M.

Tosin is an Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leader, Women in Africa Ambassador and Princeton Alumnicorps Emerging Leader.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wake Forest University and a Masters of Urban Planning (Housing, Community and Economic Development) degree from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service. 

Mohamed El Dahshan

Mohamed El Dahshan is managing director of OXCON, a research and consulting firm working on issues of economic development, freedom of expression, and internet governance in transition countries, with a focus on fragile and post-conflict countries.

 In addition, he is the co-founder of Afrilanthropy, a philanthropic investment advisory firm, and a Nonresident Fellow with the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (TIMEP).

He regularly writes and lectures on topics including the Middle Eastern transitions, economic development and entrepreneurship, and technology. He is a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Councils. In the past, he has consulted for such organisations as the United Nations, the World Bank, as well as national governments in the Middle East.

Mohamed has received the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Journalism Award for coverage and analysis of the Egyptian revolution for traditional and social media, and is listed as one of the "100 Africa Future Economic Leaders" by the Choiseul Institute, as well as the "100 Most Powerful Arabs under 40" by Arabian Business magazine. He is also a Fellow of the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations, and most recently, an Archbishop Desmond Tutu African Leadership Fellow.

He is the co-author of “Diaries of the Revolution”, a collective memoir of the 2011 Egyptian uprising, which was published in Arabic and in Italian, as well as several book chapters, academic papers, and over 100 media articles for such outlets as Foreign Policy, the New York Times, the Guardian, among many others. Mohamed is a graduate of the University of Oxford, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Sciences-Po Paris, and Cairo University.

She joined Tizi (Tariq Ibou Ziad Initiative, Association ) in 2015 where she worked mainly on Leadership and politics programs. She lunched Tizi Marrakech in 2017 with over 20 members and was then elected as president of the group for the 2018/2019 term.
