Migration dialogue between Europe and Africa: What can think tanks do?
Iván MARTÍN, Senior Fellow at Policy Center for the New South, will be participating in the debate at the Workshop “Migration dialogue between Europe and Africa: What can think tanks do?”, an online event organized by the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP).
The Migration Program of the German Council on Foreign Relations is convening a group of experts and practitioners to discuss their work and perspectives on the migration cooperation between Africa and Europe. Participants weigh in on the crucial knots of the migration partnership and discuss ways for experts in Germany, Europe, and Africa to move transcontinental negotiations and relationships forward.
The roundtable is organized in the context of the DGAP-project “From Here to EU: How to Talk About Migration in Africa?”, supported by Stiftung Mercator. This project aims to inform German and European policymakers about migration debates and policies in select African countries. The results aim to inform the European Union-African Union summit planned for 2022.
This event is taking place virtually on Tuesday 17 August 2021, 14:00- 15:30 GMT+1
